chapter 3

The doctor and Victoria had been wandering in the forest for about half an houre, earlyer they had spoted the cliffs and figured that it would be an easy stroll from there on out.

"the forest sure is quiet." said the doctor.

"the forest is generaly quiet." said victoria, thought she did have to agree that it was extreamly quiet, maby too quiet.

as they cleared the tree line that had blocked most of there vision the whole time they came upon a site that was heart breaking for Victoria, just infront of them was the cliff, at the top of the cliff Victoria would secure her chance into beacon, but in front of the cliffs was a mass of death stalkers, some where already fighting other hunters and huntresses that where also close to the finish.

"wow, thats alot of giant sqorpions." said the doctor.

"sqorpions, thoughs are death stalkers, you realy dont know anything here, dont you?"

"like i said, im not from around here."

"right, what paradise did you come from?"

"what?"

"never mind."

just then a death stalker noticed them and began to charge the doctor and VIctoria.

"look out!" said the doctor as he rolled away from the grim.

Victoria reacted and dodged the death stalker, as she rolled she took ice burn out and activated the fire and ice dust that where in the steel of her blades. the doctor took out his sonic screwdriver and made it turn into a long sword, instantly the doctor knew how to fight and how to survive.

"try and get its belly, its weak there with no protecton, also watchout for its tail!" informed Victoria.

"right."

the Death stalker looked at Victoria and the doctor, thinking who to charge, befor it could make up its miindless mind victoria charged it and activated the fire dust in her lower blade, causing it to heat up and burst into flames, once she was close enough she struck the grim on its side causing it to fall back some and shake from the hit, victoria then bounced back to recover and defend herself.

after quickly recovering from the attack the Death stalker charged at Victoria with its claws ready to strike.

seeing an opertunity, the doctor lowerd his sword out infront of him and fired blue pulses of sword shaped energy at the grim, striking it multiple times in the back, causing the Death stalker to roar in pain and turn to charge at the doctor with its tail held high.

befor it could attack the doctor with its masive claws, Victoria sent a wave of ice twords the grims legs and froze the grim in its tracks.

seeing that it could not move closer to the doctor it raised its tail a thrusted it down on the doctor.

the doctor braced himself for the impact, but after a few seconds, in which he should have been struck, nothing came, opening his eyes he saw that the tip of the grims tail was about five feet away from him, moving extreamly slow, upon further inspection the doctor found out that everything was moving in slow motion.

after a few seconds the dctor relised that his energy was being sapped away, indicating that it was him that had caused time to slow down and he should probably do somthing while he had the energy and opertunity to do so.

stepping around the stinger, the doctor climed on top of the Death stalker and climed to the base of the tail, as he prepared to strike he noticed that things where starting to move faster, returning to normal time, seeing that this was his last chance he swung his sword down on the tail and cut through it quite easly.

"amazing," thought the doctor, "this world is something, new body, new tools, new life, im finding something new every second."

as soon as the tail was cut through time returned to normal and the doctor crouched down and clund to the grims back, victoria looked at the doctor with shock, because to her the doctor was infront of the grim one second, the next he was on the grim with its tail falling off.

"how did you get up there?!" she exlamed.

"i dont know but this is alot more fun than riding a wild michanicl bull." the doctor said with a grin on his face.

"a what?"

"nothing."

the ice under the Death stalker cracked as it weakend its hold on the grims legs.

Victoria saw that she had little time and charged the grim to deal the final blow at the wound where the tail used to be, but she had a problem, the grim had relised that it was now vunrably and had startet to thrash around and wave its claws around, making it hard for her to attack clearly.

out of nowhere an arrow flew into the back of the grim and detonated an explosive dust crystal inside, sending the doctor and victoria flying to the ground and the grim into peices.

Victoria looked around to see who had launched the arrow but could not find anyone, after some time the young man and girl walk out of the woods  across from her.

"good shot Inyga." said the young man.

"naturaly." she said as the held an arrow to her cheek aimed at the other Death stalkers in the vally below.

"have you two been standing in the woods this whole time?" yelled Victoria.

"only observing our fellow school mates, getting to know how you fight and work under stress."

Victoria puffed up as she remembered that she did the same thing when he and Inyga where fighting ursas back in the forest.

"doesnt matter, you could have helped!"

"but whats the fun in that, the battle would be over to soon and i would'nt be able to see how you fight, i do have to say that i was expecting a better warrior from the dawn family, but your skills are still up to expecation for a fighter who is ranked seconed best in all of remnant."

"second, whos the first?" asked the doctor.

"my idlol and rival, Pyrrha Nikos."

"rival?"

"well its not realy a rivalship, but i still want to best her so that i can be number one, then i will be looked up to by all and will go down in history as the best fighter in the whole world of remnant."

"such a high talker for one only second best." said siesry still focused on the grim below.

"and thats quite the mouth, who might you be?"

"Inyga Iris , third best in the world of remnant, first best of archers in the world."

"never heard of you in my life." Victoria said puffed up.

"mm" the doctor thought he saw a small grin on Inyga's face but it quickly vanished as she switched her attention to some grim that had wanderd nearby.

seeng that this was getting nowhere and that her prid was only getting hurt by the second, she grabed the doctor by the shirt and draged him away.

"come Doctor, lets go." she said with steem coming out of her."

"ooookaay." he said being dragged around.

the young man watched as Victoria and the Doctor left them.

"sir, the Death stalkers seam to have found something more interesting and have left te cliffs, i would suggest leaving befor more wander near." said constilation.

"right, thanks constilation."

 

the cerimony was amazing for VIctoria, the room was lit up nicely and the walls displayed all of the teams that had been formed already, professor ozpin stood at the front naming the students off into there teams.

" Victoria Dawn, Orion Star, Inyga Iris, and the Doctor, both pairs picked the hourglass and shall now be known as team VOID, lead by Victoria Dawn."

Victoria jumped out of excitement and joy, not only had she made it, she was the leader of her own team.

"welcome to beacon." said the professor, the doctor looked at professor ozpin and was confused, it sounded like he was talking to him and yet was talking to the others at the same time, he couldent place it but the doctor had a strange feeling about thr professor, a fimiliar feeling and yet, displaced, one that just didnt belong, but the feeling was lost when orion, who was fairly tall compaired to the doctor now that he relised it, placed his hand on his shoulder and said, "this shall be fun Doctor, lets make the team work."

"right"

"no, i will make the team work, i call the orders and make the dicision." said Victoira.

"in order for a team to work the team must work together as well as the leader must work with the team, not over it."

"what ever." she said as she brushed the conversation away and walked down from the platfom.

 

that night, up in the professors office, professor ozpin looked out over the school as it went to sleep while drinking his mug of coffee, a knock taped on his door.

"come in."

glynda came in walking with here tablet checking over some things before shutting it off.

"all the students are ready professor."

"good, what do you make of that Doctor kid, hes somethig different."

"if anything different its the lack of knowledg he has, its like he lived in a bubble and poped into being during the jump, i for one whant to know how he got n the board, he has no records what-so-ever, to the data banks, he does'nt exist."

"mm, dont worry about it." the professor looked out twords the stars as the twinkled in the night.

"you dont think.. could he be.."

"how about we let things fall where they be, then we can see what this Doctor charicter shall reviel to us, good night glynda." said the professor setting his mug down on the table.
