The forest was silent, nothing stired in the trees as the doctor and victoria walked trugh the shrubs.

"the forest is quiet today." noted the doctor.

"obvioulsy," said victoria gumply, still mad, "there is touble in the air."

suddenly there where sounds of gunshots and explosions of in the distance.

"what was that?" said the doctor in wonder and shock.

"someone must be fighting some grim, hope they survive."

"why would you say that?"

"remember, in this world you ether die fighting or strive through the war and come out on top."

"sounds like this world shall be fun."

"what?"

"nothing."

victoria looked at the doctor scepticly, wondering what she had gotten into.

suddenly a bao wolf charged at the doctor and victoria with no warning.

"what's that?" said the doctor in shock while rolling to the side to avoid it.

"you sirious?" said victoria, bringing out her weapon and standing ready to attack.

"yes, i am sirious, just black out sirious, im not from this world, i have absolutly no idea whats going on, and i have no idea what that thing is!" confessed the doctor.

"well, thaanks for finaly stating the truth, right befor your about to die, now to answer your question, thats a grim, we as hunters must destroy these whenever we encounter them, that is our goal, the goal that you now have wether your from space, the future, i dont care, you need to fight to survive or die a failur to yourself and the world of remnant." during this whole time victoria was swinging her staff sword aroung blocking all of the bao wolfs attacks while at the same time swapping between forms to defend with the staff and attack with the gun.

"ok, what should i do?"

"well, how about fighting for a change, no, you might as well make use of your flashlight an blind this thing.

the doctor took out his sonic screwdriver and looked at it, suddenly he knew whaat to do and acivated it.

as soon as the tip lit up the light expanded and shaped itself into a long sword.

"what?" said the doctor in shock, he never knew that his sonic screwdriver could do that.

"must be because this is a diferent world, new body, new thoughts, new adventures." he said to himself.

without knowing what he was doing but somehow knew what to do he charged the bao wolf and started to hack away at the back of it, befor long he delt a final blow and killed the creature, after that it vaporised into smoke and vanished.

"wha-what just happend?" said the doctor.

"i say, what was that, if anything you could have told me that you could fight and that your flashlight could actualy do somthing other than a night light.

"i never said it was a night light." said the doctor to himself, "well to be honest i didnt know it or i could do that."

"uh hu, right, well, we need to be moving, i can not aford loosing because some guy from space didnt know anything but obvioiusly knew something, come on." said victoria getting up and leaving the doctor.

"ah, wait!"

 

the rest of the trip was uneventfull, after some time of walking they finaly came to an old temple, inside was a number of pillars that had varing figures on the top of each on, oddly enough the figures reminded the doctor of time lord ruins, but slightly diferent, like an older version maby.

"so, which one should we pick?" inquierd victoria.

"its not a matter of which you should choose, its a matter of which team you want to be on, and what the team will be baised on variables of skill, durability, and attacks." said a voice behind them.

looking behind him the doctor found a young man standing at the other end of the temple, he stood tall but was about the same hight as the doctor, to his side shethed, from what it looked like, a simple long sword, blue on the hilte with a silver blade, above him floated a machine that that looked like a star, flashing small lights now and then, behind him stood a girl who was smaller than the boy, she was alert and looked around and deep into the woods for threats, she held a fairly large bow that seamed to have a compund recurve style and structure to it while also having razer sharp blades on the front of the bow, following the curve.

"and you might be..?" inquierd the doctor.

"the question should be, who might YOU be, you dont show up on any records, nor did you sign up to beacin acadamy, and yet your name is there in the role call, so, who are you, doctor?"

"how did you know all of that?"

"my hoverbot constilation can access all of the data banks in the world of remnant and feeds me the information."

"amazing." said the doctor.

"you have athourity to do that?" said victoria.

"ofcoars, i helped build the data base, so it would only be natural that i would have access to it, victoria dawn, daughter of blue dawn and arua jewl."

victoria was shock that he could know so much about her in an instant, she was also disaponted to know that she was stuck with the doctor, this boy would have been a great allie.

"well, as you know, im the doctor, and thats all." the doctor said, believing that they woud never believe his actual story.

"mm, anyways back to the original start of this conversation, i would choose the relic that is the same of another persons relic, you will be mached up with the other pair to form a team of four, so it all comes down to random selection, collective selection, or by choice selection."

"so what do you choose?" asked victoria.

the man looked at the relics and picked up one that looked like an hour glass.

"i choose to bide my time, see what happens."

the doctor was preaty imressed that this man, with all the resources tha he could access, he chose to let the cards fall where they choose.

after the man had chosen his relic, victoria ponderd on what he had said and saw that there was one more houre glass relic still standing on a pillar.

"i choose to take matters into my own hands." she said confidently as she picked it up. "i wonder what their names were."

 

after some walk back to the cliffs, the doctor and victoria came across the young man and the girl surounded by bear like creatures.

"what are those?" asked the doctor.

victoria looked at the doctor with a look of uncirtianty and confusion.

"those are ursas, there creatures of grim just like the beo wolfs we met earlyer."

"facinating, this world has such a divers population of creatures and people alike."

"what?"

"never, mind."

"mmm." they looked down into the field observing the battle.

"shoudent we, like, help them?" asked the doctor.

"no, i want to see how they fight."

down on the field  the young man and the girl had drawn both weapons, the girls bow  was drawn back with a flaming arrow notched, her eyes never blinked or waverd from her targets, the young man had a long sword drawn that emited electric archs around the blade, the hover bot that he had had changed its eye scope color from blue to red and looked behind the young man at shoulders hight, one of the ursas moved and the girl let loose the arrow that flew straight and true, striking the ursa right in the heart with an explosive impact, taking down the ursa instantly, another proceded twords the young man, as soon as the ursa moved the young man wipped his sword at the ursa, as he did this his sword expanded out and became wip like, stiking the ursa on the foot and taking it off, the ursa roard in pain and continued to charge, once the ursa was close to the young man he changed his weapon into a triple blade sword and stabbed the ursa in the chest and flung the ursa over his shoulder.

"amazing." exlamed victoria, the doctor was quite impressed, the way both of them where able to take the ursas down with acracy and swiftness, both seamed highly skilled in their own ways and yet seemed to work together perfectly.

as the doctor watched he thought he saw something diferent about the young man, something not human, but befor the doctor could see more whatever it was vanished from his view.

after some time the fight was over, all of the ursas had been taken down within minuets.

"there impressive." said the doctor.

"a whole lot better than you probably." victoria mumbled to herself.

"what?" 

"nothing."

with that they moved on.
